phyncke: (Autumn-Quirky House Halloweeny Agie)
Here I am with the Sunday post as I found something interesting on the Gay Body Blog. Not Halloween related but this is pretty nonetheless. I like this photo and will post it up for you. Photo by Mark Henderson...

In other news...I don't have an update on my event on Friday as I did not hear from my co-workers on how it went. This makes me anxious and so I have worried all weekend that it did not go well. Conversely, it could have gone just fine and they are just inconsiderate and did not let me know what happened. I will deal with this Monday. One text would have made my weekend much better. Inconsiderate sod that I work with. I am pissed but will be diplomatic. Things could have gone wrong though so I am prepared for that too. All eventualities. Again, cannot post any of this on FB. I got a text from my co-worker late this afternoon about the event which was "fabulous" she said. I am so relieved. Yays!

Things accomplished this weekend. I got my earthquake kit together yesterday with items from Target, REI and Walgreens. Mine to include - canned goods, water for three days, paper plates, moist towelettes, chocolate, breakfast bars and energy bars. The big thing for me was to have the water store in the house. I am good on medical supplies in the house so no worries there. All my flashlights work etc. I feel a bit better and less vulnerable. The only other thing I need to include in the kit is some cash to have on hand. And that is done.

I went to see an interesting movie last night - In Time - a futuristic film with Logan's Run overtones (with a twist on that). Justin Timberlake as the lead in this and he continues to surprise with his acting. He is very good. This movie was science fictiony goodness and had an interesting premise where time was the commodity that ran the society and used as a system of exchange - used for the purchase of goods, services and everything. Good premise, well done and exciting through the whole film with a punch at the end. I liked it. You could do this as a rental and it does not require the big screen. But I have fun going to the movies.

I saw another movie but I cannot remember what it was. Oh well. If I think of it, I will review that one too. Anyhoo. Sunday is for laundry and food shopping. See ya!
