May. 24th, 2010 09:26 pmTo watch the last episode of a program that you have never or hardly ever watched before just to see what all the hullabalooo is about. I am watching 24. It has all these key elements too it...music dramaticus, tenseness and without any of the backdrop...it is almost a farce to watch it. I think I used to watch this show when it first started but lost interest in it. It is a cool format, the whole real-time element of it but this seems funny to me and I know they don't mean it to be. The acting, combined with the sound track and sound effects...all combine and this split screen view well...you know they mean to show this tense action happening.
Sorry to all of you who are really into it. I am not giving anything away here. The show has been seen as very innovative in its format etc. I never got into following it that much past season one.
So this is my uneducated commentary on the end of this program. Really. Just a commentary on my wide angle, totally not into the plot view of this show. I don't know how they sustained that level of tenseness through that amount of time. I guess the idea is to show one 24 hour period in 24 shows of one hour so that would give it that real time feel to it. That was the concept.
It worked for many people but for me...did not sustain my interest enough to watch the show. Just kept a passing interest in knowing that it was still going on but not interested enough to watch the show hour by hour or ep by ep. And I love action movies etc. So I always wonder where the disconnect was for me.
Anyhoo. Random comments on the end of this show. No spoilers and I wonder if anyone else watches this show?
Cheers.
