National Poetry Month...Coleridge
Apr. 19th, 2010 09:16 pmOne of my all time favorite poems is the Rime of the Ancient Mariner so much so that I based the title of one of my own fics on it. Here is just one little piece and it is the longest narrative poem in the English language....

Like one that on a lonesome road
Doth walk in fear and dread,
And having once turned round walks on,
And turns no more his head;
Because he knows a frightful fiend
Doth close behind him tread.

I just was thinking about poetry and what I so love about it. I might do a few more posts of some things I like but this one is worthy of note during this month about poetry.
