Sep. 24th, 2009 08:02 pmwhen one is going on vacation...
1. to get sick. An annoying cold and fever.
2. to have the ATM machine wig out and not be able to eject your ATM/VISA card. Machine reboots and swallows your card along with all access to your money.
Ahhhhhhhh. After an irate call to the bank, I figure out that the machine has shredded my card since it got stuck coming out and I have to get a new card. I will have to get a temporary at the branch tomorrow. Poor bank lady got an earful from me to the tune of...
"What part of I am going on vacation tomorrow do you not understand?!"
The call ended up ok and we resolved it satisfactorily. Things are inconvenient but not insurmountable.
At the Uni today there was a HUGE crowd for the protest. It was a good showing for the faculty, staff and students. I will hear more tomorrow. Evidently the students staged a sit in in the administration building.
All good. I also managed to go food shopping and get parking permits for next week.
Khylea arrives tomorrow night, late. Yays!
