Hey all, I was so jazzed to find this photo. It is a Dylan Rosser and woo, he is FINE. Just enjoy this one. Nice pose and so pretty.

In other news...

I am yet again the subject of a rant on someone's journal. Not in our circle but I had the audacity to suggest on the paidmembers forum that permanent members were being excluded from the little freebie that lj was giving out and perhaps that was not fair. I got some extremo reactions and someone posted a whole post about our exchange on her journal. Quoted me and what not. It is not all that important but kind of funny. I do like to argue so guess that is what that shows. No harm, no foul. I like to get my point across, stenuously. ;P

I am also sitting here and waiting for [livejournal.com profile] nienna_weeper to call. We are going for brunch here in Berkeley as she is on her vacay. I should spark up the camera and take some piccies of her and crew. Ya. So we will be down the street at The Drunken Boat Cafe for some eggs and stuff. I am so excited to see her! Woo.

Work will heat up this week as the students are back and we have Welcome Week going on. Lots to do and the pace will dial up a notch.

I opened my own personal site for graphics here;

I will always make freebies but this is open too.

And that is going very well and I am having fun with that.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend and things are going well. I feel like summer is over but there are still a few weeks and summer is late here as we get hot weather in September in the Bay area. Cheers and please read my reviews. I am having fun with those!

The story I am reviewing today was one of the stories I read yesterday while doing laundry. I get a lot of reading done while I do my clothing. I can sit and concentrate for a few hours. :P Today I am reviewing...

Once Around the Sun
by tuxedo elf

I make no exaggeration when I say death permeates this fic but not the relationship of the characters that are the subject here, even though one of the pairing is Namo, the doomsman. This is an a-typical pairing but realized very well and I found this well crafted and a delight to read. The writing flows elegantly and the characters are strong, both main characters and the secondary OC's that make up the elvish landscape here. It is a full Imladris that the Vala is brought into and it is fully believable that Lindir's music would draw him there. I found that very poetic and melodic.

This story lightened my spirit which I found ironic given that the backdrop would be so heavy. I really enjoyed this one and it dealt with the issue of death in a way that was not angstful or melodramatic. Just really what was. This is a great read and an unusual story.

Well done.
