In other news--

So I have worked myself into tiredness and a small bout of the flu here and I am resting this weekend. It was all good really as I had a GREAT and really fulfilling week at work. I put together a kid day at work called Bring Your Child to Work Day. This was Thursday and it reminded me of my teaching days. We had tours (campus, Police and science bldg) for the kiddos, lunch at the dining hall (donated) and then a yoga class for them. The kids had a really good time and the parents were very pleased with how things went. A win all around. I worked with a committee, delegating things to the group but had to manage that process. Instead of taking it all on myself, I assigned projects to different people and had them do things. It worked really well. I took on some items myself too and was responsible overall but I have learned that you cannot do everything. Woo.

I have to get right back on it and put together our Summer BBQ and I also have a development event in September that is a bit higher stakes.

I love what I do and have fun doing it so woo.

But right now I am resting and enjoying that for the weekend. Catching up on some movies and relaxing. Next week I am off to LA to see my parents who are visiting at my brothers house. My niece will be there too. I am taking a quick two day trip. Looking forward to that.
