So I am at work this week and all my conversations have revolved around my face and this allergy attack. I almost feel like I should have done a little synopsis hand out to hand to people here so that I did not have to explain myself over and over and over and over. And over. Ah. It is nice that people are concerned but I hate explaining it again and again.

Today it actually looks better but my skin is red and blotchy. I need a lotion that does not have alcohol in it. You do not know how hard that is to find. All of them have this cetyl alcohol stuff which is reacting on my skin which is very sensitive right now. So I am going to the specialty place and I will see if they can mix me up something that will be soothing and not have that in it. I need to moisturize. Alcohol actually dries out your skin so I don't know why that is in all these creams and moisturizers. I have spent so much time here reading ingredients. It is just ridiculous. Frig.

Very vexing.

Graphics related---skip if you are not interested....
Big doing in the graphics world and it is very exciting. I have been talking with dolliers...doll makers. There were some issues and disagreements at first. Hurt feelings and issues of copyright infringement over their work but I spent much time last weekend and subsequently in discussion via comments. A few graphics makers did and a new idea sprang from this---A collaborative message board for us all to hang out on and swap ideas. How wonderful. I think it is going to be fabu and if the kerfuffle dies down and things calm, I think that it will be like putting peanut butter and chocolate together...a great new flavor. Graphics makers and dolliers working together. So that is what I am working on. So anyone who makes graphics with dolls should feel free to comment in here if you are interested in participating. Better yet email me at jhfink@sbcglobal.net (use the subject Doll-Graphics Alliance if you could). I can keep you informed and let you know when we have the community set up. It will be on a board and not livejournal.

Work is work and things are changing around here. I will post about my new opportunities later.

Cheers.

So I went to Body Time in the Elmwood area of Berkeley. Nice place and they have cool things. I was disappointed to see that their base moisturizer that is their own has alcohol in it. I also remembered that I have a big bottle of that at home with aloe in it so I was looking for something a bit better. The person thought shea butter would work. The only ingredient in the shea butter pomade (yes, (keiliss) I said pomade) was shea butter. Nothing else..no cetyl nothing no glecyl anything no strangely named chemicals for my skin to react too. I sampled the tester and it soaked in and my skin felt sooooooooothed. Yes, sooooooothed. Very good.

I bought it.

Yayus.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I read each and every one but all the things with aloe had alcohol in them and this seems a good solution. It is a nice rich moisture feeling.

I am too tired to reply comment by comment so this is my update for tonight on the skin situation.

More news later in the week. Thanks all!
