PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is qualified. Apparently the right wing knew about this in advance and are flooding the voting with YES votes.

The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by mainstream media. It can influence undecided voters in swing states. Please do two things -- takes 20 seconds.

1) Click on link and vote yourself.

Here's the link: http://www.pbs.org/now/polls/poll-435.html

2) Then send this to every single Obama-Biden voter you know

It has been quite a night. I spent most of it in the Emergency Room at my local hospital. My friend fainted at work and we went there to get her checked out. That took hours and there were the usual assortment of people ranging from scary (man with bloody hand, totally drunk and raging) to very sick to kind of nice. The staff was excellent but it did take some time.

They had a TV there and I saw a few minutes of the debate tonight. I just cannot stand John McCain. He is so misleading. He answers selectively and at times does not answer the question at all. I noticed that he tended to bring the question back to what he wanted to say no matter what it was.

EXAMPLE: The question is about social security.
MCCAIN: Did you know Obama wants to raise taxes?

Dude. That is not the frigging question.

I found their takes on environment and energy interesting. McCain chose to focus on nuclear power and did not really answer the question very well. Obama did a little better but also focused on energy sources but broadened that to...solar, wind and nuclear power. More forms of alternative energy. I would like to remind both of them that their are bi-products in the use of nuclear energy as an energy source...nuclear waste and we will need to figure out what to do with that. Neither solar nor wind power have that as a problem.

I find one of the really important issues of this campaign to be universal health care and I thought that McCain distorted this a lot. Obama has this as a main component in his campaign and I think his plan is workable. McCain on the other hand plans on that $5000 payment while at the same time will implement a HIDDEN tax on our benefits. While this is not income tax it IS a form of taxation. I think that Obama is more straight forward in his presentation in McCain is pretty sneaky. America will feel it in their paycheck when McCain starts to tax benefits. So think...really think about who you want running the country.

As I said, I did not see most of it so this is really what I think of what I did see in the ER. Comments are welcome on what did transpire. Feel free to disagree.

Cheers.
