I am sitting here and it was wishful thinking. I almost made my Friday post but it is Thursday. Oh wah.

I have a story in process that I am very excited about , a fan fic in the LOTR universe. It is at beta now and I expect to post it next week. I am pleased with how it came out and hope that you will like it. It is a pre-first age tale and has no smut at all in it. I am starting a series of drabbles and ficlets set in this time period that will foreshadow later events. I want to work on the shorter form and I want to be more productive as a writer. I have the next one percolating in my mind right now. Don't want to give away what they are about...but you will see.

In other news, it is Fall here and somehow we missed our Indian Summer. The weather has turned cold and rain is expected. Now traditionally September and October are hot months here but I think we are missing that and going right to winter weather. Fine with me actually as I prefer the cold. We had an office lunch this week and our Dean took us to Chez Panisse...the quintissential California cuisine spot in Berkeley. The flavors were wonderful and the wine was fabulous. We did the sharing thing and all got a taste of each dish offered. The food was so fresh...that is the nice thing about the Bay Area. We have such fresh produce.

I have packages to send out for Fall birthdays and I am putting together my Halloween treats.

I am really enjoying doing the graphics and find that if I organize myself, I can get things done pretty well. My latest blinkie had 18 requests so that was exciting. My boxes don't comform to standards but I think they are nice. She is posted here. If anyone on my friendlist would like one. Just comment here with the name you would like on her.
