The Christmasification of my life continuezzz. I got these cute little lights that run on battery packs. *squeee*

After a fight with the teentsy weentsy screw that you have to undo, I was able to get the batteries loaded and VOILA. Lights! Magic. I used these on my monitor at work.

Pictorial display of office Christmasizing... )

I am like the military. I make up words.

Heh. They are cute, eh?

Edit: The shot has been changed with a pic that has a Yule scene. That was a very good suggestion. Much better. Ahh. Okies. I have to get back to work. Not that I want to.

So there are some things you should never buy cheap. I figured that out tonight. You can get things on sale, you can do the two for one special. But don't go cheap. Tape is one of those things. You gotta have good tape.

I thought I would be frugal, thrifty or whatever you want to call it and get some of my wrapping supplies at the Dollar Store. I love dollar stores. Now I have a really fancy tape dispenser that I chose to take as severance from the PR firm I worked for a few years ago. That was not the only severance I got and it was not officially part of the package but I took the dispenser. I don't know what brand it is but it is fancy and the thing flips up and it takes the standard Scotch brand roll of tape. Anyways, that is not even the important part of this story! O.o

While in the Dollar Store I purchase tape and ask the woman who owns the place...will it fit the standard dispenser. She assures me it will. I, being thrifty, frugal or whatever you want to call it, buy the value pack of 6 rolls. Now we come to tonight. In mid-wrap...I run out of the old tape and switch to the new, Dollar Store tape. What do you know, it does not fit the dispenser. I try and jam it on there and no go. So then I adapt and try and work without the dispenser. Boy is that annoying. I keep losing the end and it is just...ANNOYING. It is also slowing me down and I have gifts to wrap. LOTS OF GIFTS TO WRAP.

In that moment, I saw the light. It came to me. You must buy quality tape. So I ran out in the middle of a down pour and bought the good stuff. Scotch brand tape.

So listen to me, when I say. Get the good tape. It will "stick" with you every time.

*collective groan*

Ar ar ar.
