Poseidon....
May. 17th, 2006 11:12 pmNo spoilers here since you have all seen the original. I finally saw this great, great *coughs* film erm...movie....erm whatever tonight. Went to Emeryville, CA and saw it at ye olde Emerybay movie theater.
Boy what a rockem, sockem disaster flick! This goes down as a classic one. They followed the basic plot of the old one which I will not outline here. Suffice to say a ragtag group of stragglers goes through some harrowing shit and gets picked off one by one until just a few of them are left. It is just sooooo good. I was not disappointed. I am the queen of bad movies. Have I told you that yet? Well, heh. *points to self* I love all of these really bad movies.
I think this one counts as bad. I really do but of course *I* loved it.
Food Report:
We ate at the Public Market first and gorged on fried food. Shrimp tempura with a few token veggies, potstickers and god only knows why they gave us a plate of shredded cabbage to go with it. We must have looked unhealthy or something. It was a grease bonanza. It is coming out of my pours now. My friend's kid had a burrito that could have sunk the Poseidon and I think that will probably be the sequel....cruise ship sunk by large burrito. I should write these movies! *snorts*
At the movie we got the adult deluxe special---two medium drinks and a large buttered popcorn for the incredibly outrageous price of $14.00!!! Holy Toledo, Batman! I was just stunned by that. The drinks were huge and almost too big to carry and the popcorn was yum. The kid got the kid's special.
I am sure you wanted to know all of this in detail. All of this enriched my movie experience so I figured you would want to know.
All in all it was fun. I love going to the movies. I am reposting the movie promo just in case you forgot what it was I saw. Night all.
