Blessed be....
Apr. 20th, 2006 05:56 pmSo I have returned from teh chiropractor. Blessed be. It turns out I have something relatively mild and treatable but pretty painful. Pressure on the nerves in the brachial plexus (pictured below). It is the nerve bundle in the shoulder. I do not have nerve damage and I do not have a pinched nerve....pressure. I can handle this.
So the chiropractor poked me and prodded me as they usually do. Conducted a long interview and moved my head around. Then she used this wonderful ultasound stimulating devise and massage my shoulder and back with it. That is the best thing since sliced bread or the invention of the wheel. I mean that. It gave me so much relief. I felt really good after that. I then had to lie on the biggest ice pack ever made and afterwards had my spine adjusted with something that looked like the chiropractic equivalent of a staple gun. I walked out of there feeling much better and this is all covered on my insurance plan.
I have to go back for a series of treatments and have to do home remedy of ice and stretching. But yay. Thank the powers that be.
