Ode to Friday....not a chaiku....

It is Friday...blessed be! Can I hear an amen from my friends list? That last day of the week. End of the road, tomorrow is Saturday. Free time, weekend, slacking off, time to romp, no need to get up early, do as I wish, be what I want, no nosey boss looking over my shoulder....

Yayness.

Now I just have to make it through this long afternoon. Why do Fridays go so slow? I check the clock for the umpteenth time and it stills says 2:30 well erm 2:31 now.Erm 2:32 and counting...

Tick tock...I can hear the clock ticking and it is the digital clock on my computer. I am getting that Edgar Allen Poe feeling. Tell Tale Heart time...though I have done nothing wrong...have I? *Looks around*

What a weird entry this is. I apologize to all of you. I am in a strange mood today.

Second edit: Time is just flying here at the uni....no one is working and I have been playing neopets here and trying not to get caught. It is 3:01 pm. Not too long after my last update and I thought I would let you know how I was doing. I am feeling like this day will never end. I think I will work on my food shopping list. Must stock up for the weekend. I am out of coffee and milk. Cannot have that.

Third edit:All pretense at being productive is gone though I occasionally shuffle papers around on my desk. 4:03PM. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. 57 minutes. It is within sight now. I better finish my shopping list or I will end up with a house full of junk food. This is turning into a long-ish post with relatively little substance or meaning written. It is funny how I can blather on and say very little. My poor readers! *Save entry*

Fourth edit: I obsess about why the time does not change on this post each time I save a new edit. It should dammit but it stays at the first time I posted. Captain's Log Supplemental: 4:26 PM on March 24, 2006. The year of our Lord...*screech* Wait...rewinds. Anyway. The day is drawing to a close here and I have managed to get very little work done *preens*. In true Uni-style, I have f*cked off all day. Rest assured, this is a big place and I am not the only one doing it. We are bureacrats and government workers. What do you want? So it goes being a pimple on the a** of progress....*screech*. Well well...that was a cynical thought now wasn't it? Just shoot me now.

Sixth edit: 4:55PM Final edit....this is it folks. I must prepare to depart. I am leaving here in a few minutes. Heading to the store and to my humble abode. I might have plans tonight, might not. My friends are a bit unreliable right now. It is raining and I have no umbrella. I am going to get soaked on the way home. *heavy sigh* I want to thank you all for keeping me company this afternoon. It has been *real* FUN!

Seventh edit: Saturday night 11:27 PM...I lied, this is the final edit and the answer to that movie line bit of trivia is...Not if I see you first... and it is from the movie Gallipoli starring a very young Mel Gibson.
