I have finally caught up on my sleep this weekend. I slept a good 10 hours last night after not sleeping one wink on Friday night.

I am deeply worried for a good friend of mine. He has decided to go off of his prescribed medication for a panic disorder and is developing a substance abuse problem. His wife called me on Friday and told me that he had been to see a new doctor who was foolish enough to give him a Cannabis Buyer's Card which means that he can buy marijuana legally in California. His plan is to go off this usual prescribed medication and self regulate with alchohol and reefer. How can anyone think this is a good idea? His wife is a very good friend of mine and she has asked me to talk with him...hoping that I can make him see reason and the folly of his action. I used to work as a social worker and know a few things about nervous disorders and medications. It seems my friend was worried about being too dependent on his medication. Well what of substance abuse issues associated with daily use of drugs and booze? I plan on a long discussion with him. I hope he will listen. He is not listening to his wife....

This is what kept me up on Friday. I worry about people when they do things like this.

In other news...it is Super Sunday and the other pressing thing is what snacks to get. Heh. I am rooting for the Seahawks as the underdog and out of solidarity with khylea. She is from that area. I will watch the game. I love all the fancy adverts. Hmmm....I think I will get spicey chicken wings. Seems appropriate.

I have gotten no housework done this weekend. *sighs* Well I did a little. I will make up for it during the week. I promise.
