I have today off! I asked for this at the beginning of the week and today is the day.
My friend J**** is on Spring Break as she is a public school teacher and the kids are off too and she asked if I wanted to go to Santa Cruz with them. Santa Cruz?! Santa Cruz...boardwalk, rollercoaster, cotton candy and batter fried sea food?
Cha. I am there.

It is the home of one of the the US's oldest wooden structured rollercoasters...the other one is at Coney Island. Sure I am going.

So this will be cool. We are packing food for the ride and making a real day of it. Huzzah. I need a day away.
I got very bad news about a friend which I will detail in another entry...so I need this day.
