The Hobbit - Icons from New Banners
I made some Hobbit icons from the new banners they posted today. Different plays on light and a desaturated exposure. Enjoy!
Samples:

Thorin:
Thranduil:

Bard the Bowman:
Bilbo:

Gandalf:

Legolas:

Tauriel:

I made an icon of Tauriel because as a fanfic writer - I write OC's all the time. Her inclusion in the film does not bother me that much. I think she makes a beautiful elf and look forward to seeing her in the next film. I am more curious than anything about how that will be.
Cheers. Comment to let me know you took something. Credit not required but appreciated.

Oh, WOW! These are amazing, Janie. I know I want one of each, but not sure what color in each one.
Thank you!

Thanks!
She doesn't bother me either. I loved her as Kate from Lost.

I just hope the second movie doesn't disappoint.

Edit: I meant one of each character, not one of each icon :P

Tauriel doesn't bother me either - the first film was fanfic so it makes sense that another OC will be brought in.

I think lots of folk are excited to see this new character Tauriel. Although there didn't seem a lot of new fanfiction from the first Hobbit film (though I was only looking on LJ) there seems to be far more excitement about this one.
The cynic in me feels that they've revived a role for Legolas and created him a Disney style feisty female elf who doesn't do as she's told, to bring back the sort of fan attention Legolas generated in LOTR. I don't know the box office figures for the Hobbit film, but if the profits were flagging that is exactly what I would do to raise the odds.
Thranduil has a bigger part too, so I'm thrilled about that. Lee Pace looks amazing. So I really can't moan. Roll on December.
