Black Friday...no biggie!

So...I usually do not do Black Friday but my mouse died last night and I realized I was going to have to do some shopping today. *gasp, moanie groan* I really hate crowds and all that but I tell ya, it was not so bad but as you can see from this post, I am done pretty early. I got up at about 7am, grabbed a coffee at the 7-11 and did my two little stops -- Office Depot and Target.

I got a really cool Logitech Optical mouse and woo in a cool color -- my fave -- green. Then I got a cheapo wired mouse as a back up in case this one dies. I was totally bummed out last night when my mouse died so I want to have a fail safe here. Not expensive and I will just keep it here for the worst case scenario. Yeppers.

Then I head on over to Target expecting a mad house. Well that was so disappointing. I got a really close parking spot and it was a really pleasant shopping experience. Got me a shopping cart and everything. Where is this Black Friday madness that they are all talking about? None of that here.

At Target I got:
-2 Christmas music CDs for 1.00 each (bins at front)
-cool wrapping paper for 1.00 each (bins at front)(3 types so all my presents don't look the same)
-tinsel garland (gold) for revamp/restyle of xmas tree
-new set of jammies
-large pack of sponges (dishes)
-laundry soap on sale
-toilet paper (good deal on Charmin)

If you do shop at Target, I recommend those front 1.00 bins. Really good deals there.

So that was that. And now I am home and have work out plans for the day and I am done with Black Friday. Oh wells, eh? That was nothing. :P I was not all that impressed with the deals. I did look at laptops at Office Depot and nothing grabbed me and the specs did not match what I wanted for the pricing. I am going to look online for that. My theory is that this is a pile of hooey.

Just my thought really. Cheers to all.

*layout changed for winter season. check it out!*

LOL, the madness happens WAY before 7, honey! This is the first year I've stayed home. Just wasn't feeling it, and as good as the deals can be, I find I end up buying a lot more, and I need to watch the extra spending this year.

Well, it was not all that crowded at seven but my parents work at a bookstore and said it was very busy today...like way busy. I found the prices (on laptops) were not that good and am going to wait on buying one til December or see what is up on cyber-Monday. The deals were just not there really. I think the idea of the deal is really just retail fiction...I was not seeing good prices.

I only got stuff I would normally buy...I don't go hog wild on holiday shopping for the reason you said...cannot afford it. :)
