Snatches of Obama's Health Care Speech...
Just caught a bit of Obama's speech tonight. I was in and out tonight during this and did not see the start of it. One thing that annoys me about this is that I would like to see him speak uninterrupted and really hear the flow of his words. I know they like to applaud and all but I personally would prefer if they held the bits of adoration until the end. It has become so proforma for this clapping stuff at every point. Just hold that and can we hear the man speak? He is so eloquent and speaks so well. I know they like to clap there but really...clap at the end when the man is done.
The things I noted were...
"If Americans cannot find affordable coverage, we will provide you with a choice."
The plan will be self-sufficient.
The plan will not add to the deficit now and in the future.
As I said, I did not see it all but I will be reading it on line when I have time. I open the journal here to thoughts, opinions and comments.

So as I sit here, my fashionista sense rebels as I watch this coverage. It is like watching variations on the theme as all these men wear essentially the same suit with slightly different ties. No one is breaking out of the mold though there was one person with a purple and green striped tie. Diagonal stripes and it kind of draws the eye round and round there.
Then there was Judy Woodruff of PBS leading her Health Care analysis thing in a lime green outfit. Now that is not a fashion choice I would have made. It made her look totally yellow and her skin not a healthy color. Like she is in need of some medical care or she is jaundiced. Sorry, but there it is.
I know I was trying to do political coverage but I had to make some comments about the clothes here. This is America! It is not about what you say, but what you are wearing!
